Wet pipe system

Sprinkler system filled with pressurised water at all times — the most common arrangement.

Definition

Wet systems offer the fastest response and the simplest maintenance. They require all piping to be in heated space (above 4°C). The wet alarm valve detects flow and triggers the gong and electronic alarm. Default choice for offices, hotels, hospitals, retail and most warehouses.
