Sidewall sprinkler

Wall-mounted sprinkler discharging horizontally across the room.

Definition

Sidewall heads are used where ceiling penetration is undesirable (heritage interiors, exposed concrete slabs, narrow corridors) or where a single head must cover an asymmetric area. Listed coverage typically reaches 4.3 m × 4.3 m for light hazard. EN 12845 and NFPA 13 both limit sidewall use to light and ordinary hazard occupancies.
