Jockey pump

Small auxiliary pump that maintains system pressure under no-flow conditions.

Definition

The jockey pump compensates for minor leakage and prevents the main pump from cycling on every small pressure drop. Sized for ~1% of main pump flow. Pressure differential between jockey-stop and main-start is typically 0.7 bar.
