Foam-water systems combine deluge or wet-pipe hydraulics with proportioned foam concentrate (3% AFFF, AR-AFFF for polar solvents). Mandatory above transformer bunds, fuel-loading bays and aircraft hangars. Standards: EN 13565-2, NFPA 11/16. PFAS-free fluorine-free foams are replacing AFFF across the EU under REACH restrictions.
