Definition
Area of operation (AMAO in EN 12845, design area in NFPA 13) defines how many heads the hydraulic calculation must support. OH1 = 72 m², OH3 = 216 m², HHS up to 300 m². Larger area = larger pump and tank. The calculation is performed at the most remote (least favourable) location.
